of hard work and determination. She put her whole heart into being the best daughter, sister, student and athlete she could be. This brought her true happiness and fulfillment -- the honors and recognition followed, naturally!
While she shined in her individual achievements and enjoyed the solitude of horseback riding, Linda also excelled as a valuable team player in sports, cheerleading, debate and music. She and her sisters formed a quartet and traveled throughout Utah and Idaho, winning several talent awards and even made a television appearance!
No stranger to the spotlight, Linda was crowned Utah State Rodeo Queen in both her high school and college years. She earned a collegiate scholarship and completed her degree in just three years.
Equally impressive is Linda's desire to enrich the lives of others. At age 21, she chose to teach Navajo children through the Bureau of Indian Affairs, where she developed a remedial reading program. Later, as an entrepreneur and owner of two full-time preschools, Linda pioneered a phonetic-based reading program that has been adopted throughout the country.
In 1992, Linda sold her business and moved to Salt Lake City. Unimpressed with the teaching opportunities available, she started real estate school. In her first seven months, she closed over
